Halloween Home Decor

October!! My favorite time of year. It means the start of the holiday season and cooler weather....hopefully.

Every year I look for more decorations to add to my collection. I usually start at Home Goods but my go-to is Amazon. Pottery Barn also has great options. The kids are loving all of the bats! It definitely makes a statement. It has Alfred Hitchcock vibes. Have you seen his movie, The Birds?

Last year we ended up renting a storage unit for our holiday stuff. We were running out of room in the garage. I blame it on my husband's obsession with Christmas Trees. I think last year we put up ten. Needless to say, come January, when all of the major holidays are over, our home looks very empty!

I like to stick with a theme or color scheme when I decorate. This room is mostly black and gold with some neutral tones. If I could replace that red chair with a black one for October I would. Haha! But, I found a black, spider throw from Home goods last year so the red doesn't stand out so much.
